Les Lekin - Died with fear (2017)
Label: Tonzonen records
Issued: 2017
Q1 - Your sound seems to generate inside the listener several feelings, sometimes in contrast with each other. At least this is what happened to me. How do you manage to built such empathic sound? How much of your own feeling do you put in your sound?
A1 - A lot of people told us about completely different feelings when they listen to our music. It's part of the concept of Les Lekin to be more like a book rahter than a movie, so the listener can generate his own world or scene, or feelings while listening. When you listen 2 days later the feelings can be totally different, depending on how you get into it. The lack of lyrics does even reinforce this effect.
Q2 - What do you listen to when you are in the same car, possibly going to perform a concert?
A2 - 100% of our feelings are in the songs. All 3 members of Les Lekin have a very strong melancholic and thoughtful side but also a lot of positive power that all comes together when we play together. We listen to a lot of different music from kraut-rock to black metal and back. You can find great music in nearly ever genre. But mainly its heavy psychedelic music we listen to.
Q3 - OK. And what about now?
A3 - Right now we took a little live-break to work on new songs and sounds. Latest in summer we will be back on the road and play hopefully a few gigs, festivals and even a tour. The lack of a booking agent makes this part the most difficult part of our band-life. But yeah, we are happy like it is right now. We can make the music we love and a few hands full of people all over the planet enjoys it.
